Functionality of directional microphones – focus instead of omnidirectional recording
A directional microphone is designed to preferentially capture sound from a specific direction. Ambient noise is significantly attenuated. This technique is particularly suitable for medium distances where mobility and flexible orientation are more important than maximum range.
Parabolic microphones – maximum range with limitations
